McMillen Health Receives Health First Allen County (HFAC) Grant
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - On Wednesday morning, the Allen County Department of Health announced the Health First Allen County (HFAC) grant recipients for 2026.
The funding is part of the 2023 initiative focused on making core public health services more accessible to county residents.
So far, the department has awarded nearly $6 million through the public health grant program, and this upcoming year, 13 local organizations will receive $840,000.
McMillen Health was awarded a Health First Allen County Grant to help make core public health services more accessible to residents across Allen County.
Through this funding, McMillen Health will deliver chronic disease prevention and school and student health programs to more than 10,000 Allen County students. The programs will emphasize nutrition and vaping prevention, providing students with vital, evidence-based health education that supports lifelong healthy habits.
This grant reflects Health First Allen County’s commitment to strengthening community health through preventive education and early intervention. McMillen Health expresses its gratitude for this partnership and the continued investment in the well-being of local youth and families.
